Found all the staff very professional. Excellent experience overall

Since they have changed to village vets and most of the original staff aren’t there anymore it’s all about money. Feels like they are pumping my dog with unnecessary medication as well as other tests that are overpriced. It’s not personal anymore. One vet said we should be grateful he was getting a test done half price but what he didn’t realize was we were already told the price previously and it wasn’t half price!! It was the same price. He made it seem like it should be more expensive. Not happy with the service. They are all new vets who don’t know what they are doing and are guessing but trying to make money for the company now. Everything is about money, not the animals. We are going somewhere else for a second opinion because we have lost trust in our pets treatment so far.

Our experience with Antonio today was exceptional, we came in for a vaccination appointment and our cat who doesn't like to be handled by strangers was calm and relaxed the whole time. He did a throughout check and shared useful advice, and he even cut his nails without a sweat with positive reinforcement (which hasn't happened in other appointments with other vets in the past). Thank you🙏🐈‍⬛️!!!

Had an incident where they said my cat needed chest scans and then told us to come back on Monday because they were too busy (it was a Thursday evening). We took her to UCD and she wouldn’t have lived if we waited until Monday. Another incident where they scheduled me for an appointment at 6pm, we weren’t taken back until 630pm and then they said they couldn’t take the bloodwork because he was too stressed and they were about to close so wait until the morning. They scheduled the appointment for 6pm because they were afraid he could be in acute kidney failure so how could I wait until the morning? It was clear that they didn’t even try to do the bloodwork so they could get home on time. When I told the vet that I was frustrated because I called at 3pm, they scheduled me at 6pm and now she’s saying it’s too late to get the bloodwork done, her response was “well that wasn’t me”. How unprofessional. Went to UCD, waited for 3 hours and they got the bloodwork done in 10 mins without sedation medication. Understaffed, disorganised, repeatedly compromised the animals’ health to ensure they go home on time without providing help or solutions.

Terrible customer service and communication. Recommending appointments for routine blood draw and then telling us it’s too late in the day. They also push unnecessary tests.

Always very happy with Village Vets Charlemont. The staff are always very pleasant. We saw Marta this time who is one of our favourites and she looked after our Gingie and followed up on him after the weekend to check he was okay.

Have used Animal Welfare Clinic since my female staffie was a puppy, she’s 9 years old now. The staff are always friendly and professional. They were so empathetic when she was diagnosed with cancer last year and gave her the best treatment. Their prices have gone up recently(but that’s the norm at the moment unfortunately ) but much better priced than other vets and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
